In The Burning Heart, the bold Captain Jones sets out hoping to find a mysterious treasure of history, the fabled Heart of the Withermark.  But the puzzle can’t be completed without an important piece, a young guide named Vale.  With his new friend, Red treks through fire, water, and earth to unlock buried secrets.  But that’s not all they unlock.  When they discover the Heart, they release a deadly, magical force that will take all the strength and courage they have to stop it.  At the conclusion, Red sees that there are greater dangers spreading across all the Northlands.
